Flat suspended ceilings
The straightforward option — a level plane that hides services and gives a clean surface for recessed lighting.
Suspended ceilings, bulkheads, cove lighting details and partition walls — set out to hide services and carry light without stealing the head height you cannot get back.

Quick answer: ALHUD installs gypsum false ceilings across Abu Dhabi — flat suspended ceilings, bulkheads and drops, cove and cavity lighting details, curved and arched features, moisture-resistant board for wet areas, and gypsum partition walls. A typical room ceiling takes two to four days including finishing and paint. Free site visit and fixed written quote.

Most false ceilings are ordered as a shape and then have lights fitted into whatever is left. Done the other way round, the ceiling becomes the reason a room looks finished: a cove that washes light along a wall, a drop that defines a dining zone, spots positioned to light the working surface rather than the top of your head.
The practical side matters just as much. Ducting, cabling and drainage need to fit above the board, and somebody will eventually need to reach a valve or a junction box. ALHUD sets out the grid around the services and the light plan together, and puts access panels where a technician will actually look.
From a plain flat ceiling to a full feature installation.
The straightforward option — a level plane that hides services and gives a clean surface for recessed lighting.
Perimeter drops and defined zones over dining tables, islands and beds, often carrying concealed lighting.
Detailing built to hold LED strip so the light source stays hidden and the wash is even, not scalloped.
Curved bulkheads, arched openings and shaped niches for majlis, reception and feature walls.
Non-load-bearing partition walls to divide rooms, create a study or close off an open plan, with insulation where sound matters.
Green board and appropriate framing for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and covered balconies.
Working durations per space, excluding paint curing.
| Space | Scope | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Single room, flat ceiling | Grid, board, finish | 2–3 days |
| Living room with cove detail | Grid, drops, cove, board, finish | 3–5 days |
| Full apartment | All rooms, corridors, lighting coordination | 1–2 weeks |
| Villa ground floor | Feature ceilings, arches, majlis details | 2–3 weeks |
| Gypsum partition wall | Framing, board both faces, insulation, finish | 1–2 days |
Usually 10 to 20 cm for a flat ceiling, depending on what services need to pass above it. Where ducting is bulky, ALHUD drops only that zone as a bulkhead and keeps the rest of the ceiling high rather than lowering the whole room.
Yes. Furniture is moved to the centre and sheeted, and the work is contained to that room. Gypsum work is dusty at the sanding stage, so ALHUD screens the doorway and cleans down daily.
Standard board is not, but moisture-resistant board with a galvanised frame is, and that is what ALHUD uses in wet areas. Extraction still has to work — a sealed bathroom with a poor extractor will spot any ceiling eventually.
Yes, once the cause is fixed. Patching a stained ceiling while a leak is still running just repeats the damage in a month. ALHUD traces the source first, repairs it, then cuts out and replaces the affected board.
Send a photo of the room and a note about the lighting you want. ALHUD will set out the ceiling and the lights together.
