How projects run

What Happens Between the Quote and the Handover

Every project on this page followed the same sequence, because the sequence is what keeps a renovation on programme.

Strip-out first, then structural and MEP first fix, then waterproofing and screeds, then ceilings and plaster, then tiling, then joinery, then second fix, then paint, then external works. Each stage is signed off before the next begins, so a tiler is never working over an untested membrane and a painter is never chasing a plasterer round a room.

  • Measured survey and fixed itemised quote before mobilisation
  • Written programme showing sequence and handover date
  • Named site supervisor and photographic stage updates
  • Staged payments released against completed work
  • Joint snag walkthrough before the final payment
  • 12-month workmanship warranty from handover

Common questions

Project Questions, Answered

Can I visit a completed project before deciding?

Where a client is happy to allow it, ALHUD can arrange a viewing of comparable finished work. Failing that, detailed photographs of the specific detail you are asking about — a cove ceiling, a shower base, a joinery run — can usually be provided.

How long do these projects typically take?

Bathrooms one to three weeks, kitchens two to four weeks on site, apartments three to six weeks, and full villa renovations four to ten weeks. Every programme is confirmed in writing with the quote before work starts.

Do you provide progress photos during the work?

Yes. The site supervisor sends photographs at the close of each stage, which matters particularly for owners who are overseas or who cannot visit during working hours.

Can you work to an interior designer's drawings?

Yes. ALHUD regularly builds to a designer's package, and will flag anything in the drawings that will not work on site — a drainage fall that is not achievable, a detail that fights the structure — before it becomes a problem.
